The theatrical face

There is something about the theater and stage productions that is so captivating, on the surface it seems the players are simply trying to entertain the audience for a few hours. But really its a deception .... the actors have lured you into their web for their own pleasure! For you see the the rush of the moment just before you make an entrance, the roar of laughter or the silence of high drama fuels an actors addiction for more ... imagine the ability to leave all your problems behind and don the cloak of another person, like the pilot who said " Oh I have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings". If I could describe acting that quote would be pretty close. But all that aside, acting releases you from decision making, because your body and voice are not your own. every action, move, expression and very breath are directed and controlled to achieve the vision of one person... the Director. The actors job is to memorize and deliver . What if life is like that ... we memorize and deliver everyday .. day after day. Are we actors or Directors . The curtain falls , the actors put on their street cloths and slip out the stage door to their life ... with no Director but themselves.

" Do every act of your life as if was your last"
